Empower 2020 has been the third edition of our internal technical conference, the event where our fantastic experts get to share their knowledge within the isolutions crew. This year, the conference for internal know-how sharing, networking and further education, took place from 2nd to 6th November and was also open to our customers.

During 2020, due to COVID-19, many technical conferences have been cancelled or replaced by “from home” formats. At isolutions, we also decided to carry out the third edition of our internal technical conference online.

Our fantastic experts held two sessions every day, during one week, to cover different technical topics. Software developers, system engineers and technical consultants, together with selected customers, were able to discover and learn about innovations of the Microsoft ecosystem.

isolutions CEO, Benjamin Regez, kicked-off the event on Monday taking the opportunity to travel in time to the origins of the company. Afterwards, Microsoft’s guest speaker, Karuana Gatimu, shared some tips on how to keep productivity and well-being high when everyone is working remotely. She also explained how Microsoft managed the massive load on Microsoft Teams at the beginning of the pandemic.

During the week, everyone in the company were able to attend sessions about C# 9.0, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and SharePoint. Also, some specific developer topics were introduced, like asynch, authentication and authorization.

All in all, Empower 2020 has been a successful event, despite developing it out differently than last year. Everyone has shared a lot of knowledge and learned new things, as the experts have also been able to present themselves within the company. Thus we can meet our claim to build solutions thanks to modern technologies, which make our customers better, more productive, faster, and more successful.

“I was proud to see the broad and technical expertise of our crew and the enthusiasm with which the topics were presented”, shares David Schneider (CTO of isolutions and General Manager of Barcelona team).
