Junior Full Stack Developer

Job description

Are you a curious Full Stack Developer ready to turn a strong first commit into something great?

As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you'll work closely with one of our long-term clients, a leading Swiss engineering company. Together, you'll help shape and further develop their internal web applications and cloud services, creating solutions that make a real difference for hundreds of engineers across Switzerland.

You'll be trusted with real responsibilities from the start, supported by experienced developers, and encouraged to bring your own ideas and fresh perspective. Whether you're building new features, improving existing solutions or debugging tricky challenges, your work will have a direct impact on the people using the product every day.

And don't worry if your career is still in its beta phase. We're not looking for a finished release. We're looking for a strong first commitment. Together, we'll write version 2.0!

How your day will look like

  • Develop and improve our own web application.
  • Create both back-end and front-end solutions.
  • Help us further develop our cloud services.
  • Implement new features and bring your own ideas to the table.
  • Debug problems and turn them into effective solutions.
  • Contribute a fresh outside perspective and help us identify potential blind spots.
  • Work with experienced developers on real tickets, rather than sandbox exercises.
  • Occasionally support colleagues with IT-related matters, accounting for approximately 10 to 20% of the role. After all, software problems are user stories too.

Your profile

  • Knowledge of Python and JavaScript, ideally at B1 level or higher.
  • An eye for solutions that not only work well, but also look good.
  • Ideally, some initial experience with the Django framework.
  • Familiarity with APIs in and around Django.
  • An interest in data architecture.
  • An independent, motivated and proactive way of working.
  • The confidence to experiment, try things out and learn along the way.
  • Curiosity, initiative and the willingness to ask questions, even more than once.
  • Good communication skills in English (at least B2 level); German and/or French would be an advantage.
  • EU citizen or Spanish work visa.

If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can add value to our crew, we’d love to learn more about you.
