From successful Cloud Transformation to secure and reliable Operation

Gartenmann Engineering was faced with the challenge of building a new IT infrastructure to increase productivity and efficiency. Following the successful cloud transformation and change management support, isolutions is also Gartenmann Engineering‘s one-stop IT partner for operations and support with its «Workplace as a Service» and «Azure Operations as a Service» offerings.

Initial Situation

Due to the separation of Gartenmann Engineering from Gartenmann Holding, Gartenmann Engineering was confronted with the challenge of setting up its own new IT infrastructure for operations. The new IT infrastructure had to be modern, promote a modern way of work, focus on employees and their productivity, and contribute to an overall increase in efficiency through service and process automation. Gartenmann Engineering decided to look for a partner who could handle change management projects with a wealth of experience in the area of Microsoft Cloud technologies. In addition, the preferred partner should also be able to offer 1st to 3rd level support. As the largest dedicated Microsoft one-stop-shop, isolutions scored well in all respects and won the contract for the partnership.


As part of the implementation, isolutions built a completely cloud-based infrastructure for Gartenmann Engineering, based on Microsoft Cloud services. With the modern workplace, employees were equipped with Microsoft Teams, which they can use to communicate with each other contextually, make phone calls to landlines and access documents stored in SharePoint. Communication via e-mail is handled by Exchange Online and the management of all end devices and applications are updated automatically via Intune. Thanks to ahead Intranet, employees have a central entry point and can find out about the company‘s most important news as well as content about the entire Microsoft 365 cloud environment. During this transformation, the employees were supported by change management specialists from isolutions, which contributed significantly to user acceptance. Gartenmann obtains databases and virtual servers flexibly from Microsoft Azure and can respond to peak loads by scaling services up or down as needed – all without any additional investment costs. Thanks to «Workplace as a Service» and «Azure Operations as a Service» from isolutions, Gartenmann Engineering also has a reliable partner at hand for operation and support. Furthermore, the introduction of the Power Platform has increased productivity and efficiency by automating repetitive processes and digitizing various business processes.
